This weekend Robby went hunting with his Dad, Josh (his brother), and Chris (his brother-in-law) starting last Thursday. I'm not much of a hunting fanatic, actually...lets not pretend, I don't like hunting AT ALL. So as a result, Bodie and I got to fend for ourselves over the weekend.
I am pretty sure that if I was left alone for any longer, I would have driven myself crazy. For those of you who don't know me very well, I don't handle boredom very well. Over the weekend, I made several "dates" for myself. On Friday night, I hung out with Sally. After giving her the grand tour of my house, we opted for a movie. "Hancock", to be exact. After the movie we ate at Zupas in Provo, and then dove back to my house to do what girls seem to do best: Talk.
Saturday: This day was totally dedicated to two things: shopping (another one of those "things" that girls do best) and my Mom. We literally spent the whole day shopping. It was very nice to spend some time with her. With our busy schedules, it is hard to get together frequently. When I came home I was greeted happily by Bodie. Whether I'm gone for a few moments or for the whole day, he is always just as happy and excited to see me. I'm so glad that I had him while Robby was gone. Even though he is a dog, he is a little person in so many ways.
Sunday: NOTHINGNESS................I slept till about 11:00 a.m., and proceeded to veg on the couch. I don't think that I watched t.v. for more than an hour at a time. I just can't hold still for that long. There was actually a "Hills" marathon on and since Rob hates it, I took some time to catch up! Hehe! After a while I decided to just go and "chill" with Rob's mom, because she was pretty much in the same boat I was in; just waiting for the boys to come home. Although, I'm not quite sure she was as anxious as I was.....Well, the boys did come home, tired, sunburned, and empty handed. (I'm not complaining AT ALL about the empty handed part...I do not eat Elk...Eww. Some of you may be thinking, I am not my fathers child...hehe.)
As of last night, I am happy to say that I am no longer the Lone Ranger. Thank goodness!
Wow! Props for keeping yourself busy all weekend. I hate bordom. Guess that's one thing roommates are good for, huh? It was good to see you. We need to schedule another play date!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to being left alone during the hunting season :) Glad you had your mom and shopping there though to make the time go fast!
