What is that Smell?

Seems innocent enough....Right?

So as I said in my previous blog, I am upset at one of my "children". It happens to be Bodie. For those of you who don't know we adopted Bodie over a year ago from a family in Woods Cross. He was three years old when we got him. We have had different problems with him, like going potty on my clean laundry for example.....This one, by far....takes the cake.

Rob went to a concert yesterday, and before he left he let Bodie go potty, and went on his way. When I came home Bodie happily greeted me at the door, as usual. As I cleaned up the house and got things ready for the next day I didn't notice anything suspicous. But as I got into my bed to watch t.v....I could smell Bodie pee. But I didn't really think a lot of it because he KNOWS BETTER that to go potty in the house. So I watched t.v. for a bit, and I kept on getting whiffs of it. So, I started to search from where the smell was coming from. Then I found it...........a giant puddle of pee on Rob's side of the bed, soaked through to the mattress............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost threw him out the window.

LITERALLY....almost through him out the window.

So I spanked his bum and took him down to his kennel for the night. Then I spent an hour or two bleaching my mattress, scrubbing it to death, and then blow drying it. Not only has this dog already cost us $800 in new furniture, but now he has ruined by $100 comforter set!!!!!!!

My only reasoning for his actions are that, Rob has been gone, so in order for Bodie to show that he is still the "Alpha-Male", he had to mark Robby's scent.

DOGS!!!!!!!

I may have him sleep in his kennel again tonight....I don't think I have forgiven him yet.

  1. You're so funny :) I love reading your posts! I'm so sorry about what Bodie did to your mattress! That sucks! Poor little guy doens't know how to handle himself ;)
At least he doens't get away with it. My in-laws dog can get away with murder :) They say bad girl, but the next second they are loving on her and laughing at what happened....oh boy she is spoiled! :)
Is Rob going hunting again with Chris in October?

  4. Your blog is SO cute Steph.! You're a writer at heart Ü
If you remember Fatty, our beloved OLD (yes, she's still alive.!) grey and white cat, she too had an 'accident' (I think they do it on purpose, so why they call it an 'accident' is beyond me) UNDER our bed. I smelled that familiar smell, but couldn't find it for probably months. UGH. yuck.! I feel for you. But for some reason we keep these creatures, and actually love them. Ü
