Rainy Day with the Sibs
This past week I got to spend lots of time with my family. Natalie was back from Washington for a few days, so Whitney drove up to my place, and we had a little get-together. Whitney supplied us with a pizza from good ol' Lotsa Motsa, and I made our family's newly favorite dessert, Chocolate Eclair cake. You can see from the upcoming pictures, that McKenna LOVED it very much.
So much, that after she finished her little bowl full, she ate the rest of mine also. We were able to take the kids over to Mom and Dad D's house to see all of the animals. It was literally pouring rain when we got there, so we had to wait it out for about 15 minutes or so. I forgot to bring my camera, but the kids just loved the kittens. They had a good time seeing the dogs, cows, horses, and chickens also.
I feel bad when the kids come to my house, since we don't have any kids yet, we don't have a lot of fun, cool, toys. :( Someday. Hehe. So they color, and play with little frogs, and fake money.
Funny Story: Mason and McKenzie were starting to rough house a little on the floor at Mom and Dad D's, and they said, "Whitney! Come and play with us!". So Whitney sat down on the floor with them, and McKenzie started to tell them what they;re going to 'play', and all of the sudden Whitney stands up with a sullen face and says, "They wanted me to be the boat...." Hehehehehehe. You may not think it's funny, but just the way Whitney said it, and the look on her face...it was hysterical!
Weekend With Catie & Chris

On Friday after work, Robby and I headed up to spend the weekend with Robby's sister Catie, and her husband. That same night, Chris took us "overnight fishing" at Willard Bay. I guess during this time of the year, and late at night, or I guess morning you could say, the catfish come up to the surface and really start to bite.

So after rounding up all of our gear, we headed out on our little adventure. When we got there, it was a bit windy, but not to bad. So we hiked up the dike, found a spot, and set up our gear. Because of the wind, the bugs weren't bad at all, which was nice. However, we were greeted by several other furry creatures, who were lurking in the rocks....Mice.
And lots of them. {Insert scream here} We had some catfish bate, called "Cat Shat" (It's ok...you can laugh..I did.), and as soon as we got that smelly stuff out, those mice were out and about. They were not scared in the least bit. I crawled up the rocks a little ways, and left my drink on a rock, and a few minutes later there was a mouse crawling on the side of it, trying to get a sniff. Creepy little buggers. I'm not scared of mice, but when they were getting that close and friendly, I was nervous they were going to crawl up my pants. Ew.

Well, after our mouse adventures, the wind died down, and the bugs came out....and I was sitting by the lantern. So as you can imagine, I had a swarm of bugs circling me. But fortunately the wind picked up again, and they were gone. After all of that, we didn't even get a bite. I don't even think they were jumping. It was too dark to really tell if the water was rippling out there, but it seemed pretty still. We'll have to give it a try again when it gets a little warmer. We ended up going to bed after 3:00 a.m. sometime, so we slept in until 10 the next morning. Chris and Cate got much less sleep than that, because of some people coming over to fix their tile. Saturday was pretty rainy, so that closed off all outdoor activity options, so Catie &Chris took us over to Smith & Edwards. Wow. That store is amazing, and they really do have some screaming deals on certain things. Remember Zots? Those hard candies that fizz in your mouth? They had old-school candy galore. So I stocked up. Hehe. The rest of the weekend we just relaxed, ate lots of good food, and watched movies. We had a lot of fun. :) Thanks Catie & Chris.

This is Catie's little baby Foxie. She is such a little cutie, and loves to be loved on. :)
