Scare-EEE!

We are so unlucky at times, but VERY blessed also.

Yesterday Robby went to his parents to feed our dog Nestle, because that is where she currently resides (That is another story for another day). He was bored, so he jumped on his Dad's dirt bike and rode around for a little bit. He needed to turn around, so he did it over by Nestle's pen, and once he got all turned around and was ready to take off again, next thing he knew, he's waking up on the ground with the dirt bike tipped over next to him, still running, and a throbbing pain in his head and side. He wasn't wearing a helmet.

He blacked out. Fell off the dirt bike. Landed on his right side, and hit his head really good. And had no idea why or what even happened.

Somehow between his blurred vision he was able to put the dirt bike away, hop on the scooter, and make it home, and then instant message me at work...yeah, he's not much for drama, is he? Of course, I freaked out, and called him, asked him a billion questions, and then ended up leaving work so I could be with him. It took quite a bit of convincing to get him to the hospital, because he assured me that he was fine. But, I got him there, and after a CT, X-rays, blood work, and an EKG. They determined he was indeed fine, just a concussion and some bruising. However, they really have no idea why it happened in the first place. He more than likely passed out, just because of the circumstances surrounding the event, but it is also possible that he had a seizure as well. There is really no way no know for certain because Robby can't remember anything other than being on his dirt bike, and then suddenly being on the ground, and no one was around to witness it. So the Doc recommended some rest and no hazardous activities for the next few days.

I am SO THANKFUL that he is ok. It could have been SO much worse, especially since he wasn't wearing his helmet, and because there was no one around to help. Hopefully, this was just a freak accident, and we wont have to do this again anytime soon. I have so much to be thankful for.

Robby is feeling well. Just a little bit of a headache today, and his right hip is pretty sore and bruised.
