This year we did our own little thing for Thanksgiving. We would have gone with my Dad this year however, he was stuck working. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one that had to work. Robby did as well, which is also why we had our own shin-dig.
I cooked a little 5 lb turkey. It was my first time cooking one that small. It turned out lovely, and it was just the right size for our little fam.
I had several accidents in the kitchen this year. Ugh. I sliced off the top of my index finger on my right hand. That was awesome. Then cut my thumb on the same hand. THEN I grabbed a 400 degree pan...with my bare hand. It was some wicked-awesome pain. Let me tell you...Again, same hand. Did I mention that I am right handed?? Needless to say, I've been a little handicapped the past few days. I'll have you know that I typed this entire blog post without using my thumb or index finger on my right hand. Now that is skill.
Caydence hit one of first milestones on Thanksgiving. She was exactly one month old! I must admit that while I've been at home, time sometimes seems to drag. But, at the same time, I can't believe it's already been a month since Caydence was born. Crazy, crazy.
Here are a few pics of us. I didn't take any of our Thanksgiving dinner...well, because it was just Robby and I....sitting at the table...eating. Nothing spesh.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all had a great day!
