An update. On this blog.
I could try and catch you up on all of our happenings, but yeah. Too much. Too little time. You get it.
So, this is what we have been up to lately.
Over the weekend, I ran my very first half marathon. Considering I ran 13.1 miles, I don't feel too shabby. Definitely stiff. But, overall feeling good!
Since this blog is not about running, I won't bore you with the details. You can read about that over here if you want.
However, the best part about running 13.1 miles is that I burned over 1500 calories...and that means...LOTS OF FOOD.
Robby and I decided we must have a hamburger cookout this weekend, and we did. We also had some corn on the cob and even went out to the fire pit for some smores. Um, wow. Where have you been all of my life little gooey marshmallows?? Winston pup got his taste of his first marshmallow. There is no going back now, he loves them. Even if they stick to the roof of his mouth. :)
We took Winston to the mouth of the canyon to play in the water today. This was his first REAL experience playing in the water. When he was a puppy, he was seriously nervous to go into the water at all. But, he was a champ and played his little heart out. Love that puppy.
My sister, Natalie's, birthday was on June 9th. We got together at her house for some cake and ice cream. If there is one thing we Warnick girls are good at, it's talking and eating. Pro's.
Now....the moment you have all been waiting for. Little C. I'm pretty sure it's the only reason anyone reads this blog anymore. I mean, look at her:
The middle picture is kind of a funny story. I was in the process of doing a bunch of laundry. So I had a giant pile of clean clothes on the floor. I needed to switch the clothes from the washer. I left Little C on the rug playing with her toys. I came back out, seriously not even a minute later, and she was CLEAR across the floor wrapped up in a sheet. I kind of panicked at first because I couldn't see her anywhere in the room, and then I noticed this giant moving blob of sheets. Silly baby. She was having a pretty good time in there. She has a thing for blankets.
My Little C is seven months old now. At her last appointment she weighed 19 pounds! She is such a chunk. I can't believe how much she is changing. She is doing something new every single day.
-She is rolling--EVERYWHERE. She is pretty much a little torpedo. If she wants to get somewhere fast, she rolls.
-She almost has crawling figured out. She sits up on her knees and rocks back and forth. It's only a matter of time.
-She drags her self across the floor army style to get what she wants. And usually it's NOT her toys. Think, cords, rugs, shoes, etc. WAY better than toys, I guess. Who knew?
-She loves to say "Dadadadadada" and "Babababababa". We might have a proud Daddy over here. And we might also have a jealous Momma. We are working on "Mamamamam".
-She is starting to mimic us. Especially noises and movements.
-If you couldn't tell, she is SUCH a good eater. She eats any and all baby food. We've started feeding her bits and pieces from our meals as well, but she usually gives me the stink eye and spits it out. Ice cream and cake is a hit though.
-She is quick with her little hands. Meaning, I can't set her oatmeal on her high chair tray anymore, because she will grab the whole thing and dump it in a second.
-Her eyes are still changing. Right now they are half brown and half blue. They are very pretty. I kind of hope they'll stay that way.
-We are slowly getting rid of the bald spot on the back of her head. She is almost through rocking a mullet in the back. Hallelujah.
That's it for now. I'm sure by next week, she'll be doing a 100 new things. She is growing and changing so much every day! Love that little baby.
I will try to be better at keeping this blog up to date. Especially for the sake of my fam, and my little babe. It will be fun to come back and look at all of the little things she has been doing.
Lata' gators.
